Very nice 1908 PEUGEOT type 88 ancestor with chain drive, two-seater sports bodywork, all in good condition with a pleasant patina. Lightweight and very manoeuvrable ancestor with 1817 cm3 twin-cylinder engine, 4-speed gearbox + reverse gear, 2. 65 m wheelbase, top speed approx. 75 km/ h. Easy to crank.
Easy to start with the crank. Around 450 examples were built in AUDINCOURT between 1907 and 1908. Complete chassis on wheels, engine, seats and equipment, all original, only the rear section was rebuilt in the 1990s.
Has taken part in several pre-1914 rallies. The engine and gearbox have been completely overhauled recently and the whole car works well. I have owned this car since 2011, French collector's registration in my name. A rare ancestor with chain drive, light and elegantly sized, performing well for a 1908 twin-cylinder engine.
