The car we are offering was registered on 12/ 11/ 1985 and is of German origin. It was imported in 1998 and its current owner acquired it almost 15 years ago and would now like to sell it.
We have a thick file tracing the complete history of the vehicle, previous roadworthiness tests, invoices and stamped service book are present as well as the duplicate keys. Note: Nearly €20, 000 worth of work has been undertaken by the current owner.
The 286bhp BMW M1 engine has been regularly serviced throughout its life. The gearbox behaves perfectly, the locking of the gears is firm and precise, while the clutch was replaced 10, 000km ago. Numerous expenses have been carried out over the last few years, including the replacement of the radiator, various injection pipes, PmH sensor...
The running gear also underwent a complete overhaul last year and is behaving wonderfully, firm and precise, in perfect harmony with the car's philosophy. The steering is precise and the suspension does its job perfectly. The brakes are effective and well balanced. The calipers have been overhauled and the front hoses have been replaced this summer by aviation versions. The BBS rims received 4 new Brisgestone tyres during 2022, and these can also be replaced by the original ones on request. The body received a complete paint job in its original colour at the end of 2017, the alignments are within the standards, the windscreen was replaced on this occasion as well as several seals. The vehicle is fitted with the optional M rear skirt and its characteristic spoiler. The Recaro black leather sports upholstery is in very good condition, homogeneous, with a slight patina to which we are not indifferent. The dashboard has no cracks and the instrument panel is perfectly functional. The instrumentation is perfectly functional. The vehicle has the original sunroof, and the roof lining was redone a few years ago and is in perfect condition. The original M technic steering wheel is present and in very good condition. Rare: the original toolbox is complete!
