Sunbeam was regarded as "The Gentlemen's Motorcycle" or the "Bentley of Motorcycles".. The first OHV production Sunbeams were listed in 1924 as the Model 8 (350cc) and Model 9 (500cc) . The Model 8 was the 350cc OHV sports model with bore/ stroke dimensions of 70×90 mm. The Model 8 was an excellent sports tourer of great quality. This rare Sunbeam is one of the last Model 8's made, Being a 1936 model it benefits from having the 4 speed/ foot change gearbox. Including quality refinements like the original side stand and "Little Oil Bath Chaincase", a feature for which Sunbeams have been famous for many years. This example, frame number the details below, is offered in excellent condition throughout, subject to sympathetic restoration which included work to the engine, clutch, magneto, spokes and carburettor.
