HISTORY The Triumph TR3 appeared in October 1955. It was produced in the United Kingdom from 1955 to 1962 and almost all of them were sold on the American market, like the model shown here, built on 29 May 1959 and sold new in San Francisco. The Triumph TR3A was a rear-wheel drive car with an in-line 4-cylinder cast iron engine, with overhead valves and side camshaft, 2 SU H6 carburettors. It develops 100 bhp at 5000 rpm. It is mated to a 4-speed gearbox (non-synchronised first gear) + optional overdrive. The front suspension is independent with coil springs and the rear is fitted with a rigid axle and semi-elliptic springs. Top speed is 170 km/ h. DESCRIPTION This TR3A is the improved version of the TR3, rebuilt in 2000, and stands out for the quality of its restoration. It is a head-turner, coming from the factory in black with red interior, the vehicle has been restored with a different configuration, green with beige leather interior, one of the most elegant, offering one of the most beautiful configurations for this vehicle. The car was imported from Chicago and restored to the highest standard. The car has been completely rebuilt from new and even 20 years later, the car is still very beautiful. Recently the previous owner had a steering rack fitted to improve precision and ride comfort.
