Here is a chance to own a real piece of British fire truck History. Ordered New by Leicester Fire Dept. In 1947 and delivered in 1948. In regular use until it was purchased by Bush electrical in 1960 and was in use till 2001. In the history file there is a article dating back to 1996 stating it is the oldest servicing fire tender. In 2001 Bush decided to donated the Land Rover to the fire services museum national trust where is was on display until it was purchased by its current owner in 2022. Current mileage is at 22, 000 miles in 1996 the mileage was 20, 000 miles so in 29 year it has only covered a mere 2000 miles. I would like to say this is one of the most original examples on the market. No sign of rust and still retains most of its original mechanical parts. Between 2017-19 major overall work was carried out to the gearbox and suspension components all work with invoices to prove was carried out by Dunsfold LR specialists. We do believe that this is the only 80inch hard top fire truck still to exist.
This little series 1 is ready to go and be enjoyed by a true enthusiast and great for a collection.
