In 2014 this Golf GTI was purchased by a well-known collector from Milano who started a real, thorough restoration: the bodywork was restored by Carrozzeria Bottini, while engine, gearbox, dampers, brakes, etcetera were completely overhauled by Officina Volkswagen Eraldo Mandarini… Several pictures document the works and invoices shows a total exceeding 35. 000 euros.
