One day, this friend wanted to buy a villa on a property for sale in FRONTENEX but didn't have enough money to buy the whole thing and asked my grandfather to buy the land so that he could at least buy the house.
This property, full of large apple trees, belonged to a coal and flammable products merchant who was selling his property because his son was an alcoholic and he had to devote his life to helping him get over it.
He used this ACZ truck to deliver coal.
When he visited the property to buy it, my grandfather saw this ACZ and fell under its spell, which is why he concluded with the merchant that, along with the land, he would buy the lorry so that he could pick apples and sell them at super markets. Let's talk a little technique now: between 1935 and 1939, Renault marketed a range of vans with different load capacities, comprising the ADZ (800 kg), ACZ (1, 300 kg) and ACK (2, 000 kg). The Renault ACZ was the only one to be marketed continuously throughout the period and was therefore the most popular. They all had a 2, 380 cm3, 48 bhp block combined with a set of 4 gears with 3rd and 4th synchronization, which enabled the ACZ to reach full load at 77 km/ h with an average fuel consumption of 16l/ 100km!
