The Renault 11 was introduced in 1983 as a more refined sibling to the Renault 9, sharing its platform but offered exclusively as a hatchback, while the 9 came as a sedan. Both models were designed to be practical, economical family cars aimed at the compact car market.
It had a unique design for its time, with that boxy, yet kind of sleek vibe, and its handling was pretty solid for a compact car. It might not get as much love in the spotlight as some other classics, but when you see one in top shape, it’s like a little piece of automotive history.
