Dark Blue with Black leather piped White, Revolution alloy wheels, aluminium rear wheel arch guards, twin roll bars, windscreen demister, oil cooler, Motalita woodrim steering wheel, electric cooling fans, tonneau cover, dual rear exhaust, Willans 4 point harnesses, Ford 351 cu. in Windsor ( 5. 7 litre ) V8, Tremec 5-speed gearbox, immobiliser, period correct 1966 ‘D’ registration number. Only 11, 300 miles from build with 2 owners, original invoices, photographs of the car part built and all old MOT certificates from new.
As any Cobra replica expert will tell you, Gardner Douglas have a reputation for being amongst the best engineered of the kits and this GD 427 is no exception even though they are generally not the most exact replicas of the originals. Beautifully built and properly sorted, it’s a pleasure to drive with a genuine Ford engine like the original AC Cobras and a delightful 5-speed gearbox. We sold this car to the 2nd owner circa 12 years ago and it has always been garaged and sparingly used since then. Still in superb condition throughout and ready to use.
