1974 Datsun 1200GX B110 Coupe
Recently imported from South Africa where it formed part of a small Japanese car collection. It has been lightly restored over recent years retaining the original interior in great condition but having been repainted to a high standard and still presenting really well.
The GX was the sports model in the B110 line up and came with twin Hitachi SU carbs for extra performance. It was very popular and successful in motorsport back in the day due to it's light weight and responsive A12 engine.
105, 000km (65, 000 miles) from new and the condition reflects the low mileage, no cracks in the dashboard, switchgear and vinyl seats in excellent original condition. Mechanically the car runs well and offers a light and nimble handling with a decent turn of speed out on the road.
It retains the stock appearance with original wheels which may appeal to the purists but could equally look amazing with a set of alloys and with the ride height lowered to suit. The beauty of many Japanese cars from the 1970/ 80's is they have wide market appeal across all age ranges from 18 to 80.
