Description
This 1957 Triumph TR3 is an original RHD car imported from South Africa where it was displayed in a museum over the last few years but also kept roadworthy and in use on a regular basis.
Many subtle but nice upgrades have been fitted to make it better suited for modern traffic such as the steering box has been replaced with a new steering rack making for precise placement on the road, disc brakes with servo upgrade, water expansion tank and electric fan have been fitted to improve cooling together with a high torque starter motor. The cylinder head has been converted for use with unleaded fuel and runs a mild uprated cam. A stainless steel exhaust has been fitted. The SU carbs have been tuned and balanced and it runs really well out on the road. It has been very well maintained and cared for by it's previous enthusiast owner.
It has always been an inland SA car and has never been welded or seen rust retaining the integrity of factory original metalwork. This is the main reason we import cars from hot dry climate areas. The paint is in excellent condition with no marks or blemishes and the interior was re-trimmed when the car was repainted some 10 years ago.
The hood is in excellent condition and fits well with no rips or tears whilst side screens are supplied. 48 spoke chrome wire wheels complete the look. Tonneau cover is included with workshop manual and handook.
