Registration: OPD 101D
Date of First Registration: 03. 11. 1966
On Consignment
This Bentley T Mulliner, Park Ward 2-Door Saloon is an extremely rare early example of the coachbuilt model launched in March 1966 and produced until 1970. Of just 98 examples built, only 10 were fitted with the desirable four-speed Hydramatic gearbox, reserved for the earliest right-hand drive cars before Bentley transitioned to the GM automatic transmission in 1967. Additional early features include front-opening quarter lights and the use of S3-style boot handles, both of which were phased out on later production cars.
Finished in Oxford Blue with a beautifully preserved original interior, this car represents one of the most historically significant and collectable Bentleys of the Shadow-era.
Mechanicals
The car is powered by Bentley’s 6. 2-litre V8, paired here with the rare Hydramatic four-speed gearbox. It starts instantly with the aid of electronic ignition and settles into a smooth idle. On the road, it pulls strongly, tracks straight, and drives with refinement. The brakes perform well, stopping the car effectively and consistently. All systems and electrical components function correctly, and the car is ready to be enjoyed without hesitation.
Exterior
Presented in Oxford Blue, the paintwork is in very good order with a deep, consistent shine. The chrome brightwork, including bumpers and trim, is equally well preserved, free from notable blemishes. The car sits correctly on its original wheels, maintaining its elegant stance. Panel fit and coach built detailing reflect the high standard of Mulliner Park Ward craftsmanship.
Interior
The interior is finished in beautifully preserved original leather, which presents with only very light patina commensurate with careful use. The woodwork is near-perfect, retaining its lustre and depth without cracking or damage. While the carpets and headlining remain clean and smart. All controls, gauges, and switches operate correctly, with everything from the electric windows to the heating system functioning as intended. The cabin exudes the hand-built quality and refinement expected of a Mulliner Park Ward Bentley.

This Bentley is accompanied by a substantial history file, including:

Conclusion
With just 98 Mulliner Park Ward 2-Door Saloons produced and only 10 specified with the Hydramatic gearbox, this 1966 example is an exceptionally rare and desirable Bentley. Early-production details, superb Oxford Blue paintwork, a beautiful interior, and a rich documented history with interesting former keepers, make it a standout collector’s car.
