A beautiful , fully restored 1937 Ford Model 85 V8 Pick Up Truck , and rare in Right Hand Drive .
One of two right hand drive models known in the UK, so almost a unicorn...
This is in immaculate condition throughout . Look at the video .
Fitted with a fully rebuilt better 24 stud flathead engine .
Built in Canada and exported to South Africa .
Imported to the UK in 2002, when it was restored to a very high standard for a collection , including the lovely paint job in the original colours of blue and black .
The truck more recently had a full recomissioning including uprated water pumps , rebuilt radiator, rebuilt fuel system with electric fuel pump and rebuilt carb, rebuilt ignition system , converted to 12v , new Coker Classic Whitewall Tyres , new Brakes , custom rear tonneau cover and battery .
The lighting system was uprated and includes flashing indicators, conversion to 12 volt with Powergen alternator and 12 volt instruments .
The interior was fully retrimmed to a high standard and additional modern seat belts have been fitted .
The speedo is a car one, which reads accurately, but is calibrated 10 MPH slow.
The original 6 volt instruments are still in place, but not working. There are now fully working supplementary 12v guages .
This truck drives really well, and has completed a 200 mile trip on the hottest day of 2022 to and from the Old Ford Rally at Gaydon with no problems , and used regularly for local shows .
