Description
Fiat 1500D Cabrio “Stabilimenti Farina”
Rare and unique – this is the most precise description of the Fiat 1500D Cabrio from 1949, designed and built by the renowned Stabilimenti Farina. Farina was known for its refined and forward-looking designs that made Italian automotive elegance internationally renowned. With only a few similar examples worldwide known – only four registered finds – this Fiat represents an extraordinary and extremely exclusive chapter of Italian mobility history.
Discovered in 1993 in a barn, the car had lain hidden for decades before being brought back to life. It was subsequently fully restored and rebuilt, with particular attention given to preserving its original lines, proportions and fine details. The elegant bodywork presents itself in the challenging colour combination “Antoinette Blue over Cream” with red leather and underscores its timeless and striking appeal.
What makes this Fiat particularly appealing is its authentic and personal history. The provenance is supported by documents and photographs collected over the years, providing both clarity about the restoration and a captivating narrative that invites the next owner to further explore.
A rare Fiat cabriolet that combines Italian craftsmanship with the exclusivity of a coachbuilt design. More than collectible, it stands as a symbol of post-war elegance and Italy’s design art.
