Call it a restomod, backdate or hot rod – it combines the best of all three.
It blends the timeless elegance of a classic 911 with carefully chosen enhancements for performance, driving pleasure and comfort.
The result is a unique Targa, as gorgeous to look at as it is thrilling to drive.
This 911 Targa was initially built in 2019 by a Porsche specialist based in Belgium, from a solid 2. 7 Targa – an excellent base for a backdate project.
All body panels are steel, complemented by fiberglass front and rear bumpers.
Distinctive details include the brushed Targa bar, polished trim, alloy engine grille, original light units and a pair of period Cibie headlamps.
The bodywork was repainted in a bespoke 'coffee cream beige' shade, giving the car a warm, distinctive presence.
Sold to its current owner, the car has benefited from substantial investments to elevate the interior and driving experience to an extraordinary level:
New 'salt & pepper' 911S-style carpets
Custom bucket seats in black and beige Pepita
Leather-wrapped steering wheel with body-colour contrast stitching
Leather-wrapped rear roll bar with body-colour stitching
Instruments restored in 911/ 356 vintage style, green dials, chromed bezels and woven detailing
Dashboard redone with alloy/ woven inserts and chrome, paired with a vintage Blaupunkt (Bluetooth & DAB), completed with a pair of chronometers
Early-911-style door panels with classic pockets
WEVO gearshift with a balsa wood knob for precise shifting
Cooling fan painted to body colour
Even the key fob was bespoke to match the finish of the car
The result is a unique, authentic and inviting interior – well beyond a standard restoration.
Under the rear deck sits a fully rebuilt 3. 2 Carrera developing 231 hp, paired with a short-gear 915 gearbox and a limited-slip differential.
Together they deliver lively acceleration and engaging driving. The 964 brakes provide the stopping power, while the 100L tank enables long-distance runs without a stop.
In addition to regular maintenance, other work has been carried out to maximise performance and reliability: new rear suspension arms, turbo tie-rod ends, and replacement of bushings.
On the road, the car behaves as you would expect: solid performance, responsive handling and reassuring braking.
Sold to its current owner in 2022, it has covered just under 10, 000 km since – mainly on trips and getaways. A testament to its long-distance reliability, it remains in superb condition, marrying classic Targa styling with modern usability.
This isn’t just another backdate. It’s a unique, meticulously crafted, high-quality creation in which far more has been invested than the asking price suggests. For someone seeking a bespoke 911 that stands out, this Targa is the perfect candidate.
The car is currently registered in Belgium and is being sold on behalf of our client.
