This charming little Seven comes with luggage, tools, books, period maps, period head gear, accessories, oil service and new MOT ready to drive away, a complete ready to enjoy package fitted with the only Austin Seven roof rack we have ever seen in 30 years of trading in classic cars.
Bought new in 1934 by the father and then passed on to the son, been with the original family owners for 89 years, it really is a gem of a car and wants nothing but enjoying, cherished throughout the years in good all round condition, which is understood to be original and unrestored with only the front seat bases attended two, we have never seen such pristine chrome work, no pitting or pock marks anywhere on the shiny grill and other chrome parts, a very genuine car all round.
Comes with an ultra-rare genuine period roof rack, period suitcase, war issue jerry can, period oil can, various hand tools, spanners, screwdrivers + tyre levers + selections spare parts & bulbs all contained in a satchel, period road maps, period road books, plug in type overnight street parking light with window clip, straw boater hat, picnic blanket and picnic hamper, the complete package.
We have every logbook issued from the original 1934 buff cardboard folding one showing no former keepers (never seen another) to the modern current issue and a small history file with many old MOTs and invoices and a part used petrol ration book.
It starts readily on the electric start with a brand new 6v battery just fitted, runs like a Swiss watch, smooth tick over, no rattle on acceleration, pulls well through the 4 speed gearbox and stops as well as an Austin Seven should. All the lights, horn, trafficators are working, still retains its original vacuum windscreen wiper which is as poor today as it was in 1934, its quicker to use the manual handle. Door’s open easily, click shut and stay shut, windows wind up and down, doors lock on the key. Speedo, oil pressure, fuel and amps gauge work correctly. Very good set of matching AVON road tyres with no age cracks or splits, including one on the spare wheel.
Paintwork is generally good with a deep shine, aged in places on close inspection but as it should be, nothing needs doing, it would spoil the charm to try and improve anything and nothing is rotten or rusting through, this car is the cleanest we have ever seen underneath, its remakable. Again the interior is all usable and requires no unnecessary improvement, as mentioned the front seat squabs have been done some time ago, the rest of the seats are all perfectly fine, showing age and patina with no rips or splits to spoil your ride, good headlining, good door cards still with intact pockets and perfectly suitable, possibly original floor mats.
It will be sold with a new MOT, not required but provided anyway, plus new oil in the engine, all the multiple lubrication points greased / oiled and levels checked as per the workshop manual service guide, including the often missed gearbox level as it’s hard to get at and rear diff has been checked as well. Plugs have been cleaned, gapped and refitted as they are much better than anything you can buy today and work perfectly fine, antifreeze mixture has been increased ready for the coming winter, the coolant is crystal clear, see pics.

Local delivery within 20 miles of Carlisle is normally for free, further afield we can deliver to most of the UK for £1 per road mile from Carlisle (it will not be delivered by crow) direct on our own transport, highlands, islands and outlying areas please check with us first.
