Description
This 2010 Fiat Fiorino 1. 3 Multijet Diesel van has been my brother's own vehicle since March 2023.
It was supplied new to Scottish & Southern Energy and was built to their own specifications as part of a large fleet order of these vans. All were equipped with 15" steel wheels, rear parking sensors, panelled bulkhead and a semi lined cargo area.
Overall it is in very tidy condition and drives very well (when it works) with a strong engine, turbo and clutch, no timing chain noise, no crunching on the gears and no warning lights. There are two keys, 6 stamps in the book and a clear motorcheck report. In short it's a perfect small van, except...
It is being offered as spares/ repairs for two reasons:
1) The MOT expired in August and there is a large leak from the PAS.
2) The worst problem is this: After driving for several hours (sometimes sooner) it will go into limp home mode and will usually cut out and not restart for hours or even days later. Then it will be fine for a bit before doing the same thing. When it does this the word 'cancheck' flashes up on the stereo and then the check engine light will appear and sometimes flash on & off. New injectors and glow plugs were fitted in early 2023. Earlier this year we fired the parts cannon at it in an attempt to fix it. New parts included a high pressure pump, crank sensor, starter motor. The fuel tank and in tank pump were also cleaned. It is still playing up so my Brother has given up on it and asked me to sell it for him. Maybe one of you has experienced this fault with one of these before and knows what it is..? We suspect a fuel pressure/ wiring problem somewhere is the cause.
Currently it starts and I can leave it for months and it will fire straight away without even needing a booster pack, though I wouldn't trust it to drive anywhere and transport is recommended.
It is otherwise a really nice tidy small van that is surely worth £2500 when sorted and MOT'd?
No VAT on this van. Located in Macclesfield.
