This Esprit has been in the same family since 1994. We have just recommissioned the car on their behalf after a 30 year storage period at a cost of over £26, 000.
With original paintwork and interior leather, this is a fine genuine low mileage example. Supplied with handbook, purchase invoice from 1989, history sheet from the family including reasons for the storage and original 1987 brochures.

The Lotus Esprit HC is a version of the the Lotus Esprit sports car known for its "Higher compression" engine. 135 were produced between 1986 and 1987, it was the final and most refined iteration of the original Giugiaro-designed "wedge" Esprit before the model was redesigned. This makes the HC a sought-after car for collectors who appreciate the original Giugiaro design.
Fitted with the 910 2. 2 engine the HC model produces 215 BHP compared to the 160BHP of the standard model and is coupled with a 5 speed manual gearbox.
0 - 60mph in the day was 5. 3 seconds. Impressive even today!
