Description
The 512 TR stands as the ultimate refinement of the Testarossa concept. The 4. 9 litre twelve cylinder delivers 428 hp and reacts noticeably more directly to the throttle. By lowering the engine block 30 millimetres in the chassis, the handling was transformed from tricky to stable and precise. The gearbox was also thoroughly revised for smoother and faster shifting. The exterior looks more modern due to the colour coded bumpers and larger 18 inch wheels which accommodated stronger brakes. Inside, the 512 TR received a cleaner dashboard and better positioned controls.
Nice detail: although the cylinders lie flat opposite each other, technically this is not a boxer engine but a 180 degree V12, which creates the unique sound.
