107-inch is a clean, straight, true survivor, retaining its original engine, interior, paintwork and standard truck cab and pickup load bed configuration.
Assembled in Australia as a CKD (Complete Knocked Down) kit and brought into New Zealand and imported back to the UK 20 years ago and put in storage,
OVERVIEW
This 1956 Land Rover Series I 107 - Inch Pick-up -A superb true survivor Series I and is a real testament to the benefits of careful dry storage, remaining in excellent survivor condition for its 67 years. The paintwork is finished in Dove Grey, one of only four colours offered by Land Rover in the period & complemented by dark grey wheel rims fitted with period-correct Firestone tyres. All lights intact and functional, except for two Lucas Pork Pie style indicator lenses.
The cab remains largely original, with its three spade seat frames
intact (seat covers needing reupholstering) and a period-correct, three-spoke banjo-style wheel with cover. Sparse and functional, the minimalist dashboard with Jaeger gauges and plain design reflect its rugged, utilitarian purpose.
This is a truly honest 107-inch Land Rover Series I pick up is perhaps one of the cleanest and most original examples of its kind. It would make a characterful addition to any collection for daily driving or weekend adventures.
