EXTERIOR
This 1990 Delta HF Turbo is finished in a sleek metallic black, a £165 optional extra from new. The deep, lustrous paint gleams under our studio lights and presents very well throughout. The car’s distinctive angular bodywork boasts the aggressive yet refined stance that has long defined the Delta range. The front grille, headlights, and fog lights are all in good condition with no damage or cracks to be found. Refurbished 14-inch Cromodora light alloys sit snugly beneath the flared wheel arches, wrapped in a matching set of Continental tyres, dated 2023. All the windows are still the correct brown-tinted glass with the original registration number etching present.
INTERIOR
The interior is a great place to be and really shows its low mileage condition. The Alcantara seats are excellent and original with no excess wear to the bolsters or striped Missoni cloth inserts. The carpets and door cards are still protected by plastic covers. The dashboard is undamaged and the instrument dials are clear with all switches, buttons, and gauges looking in good condition. A Clarion cassette radio is fitted along with Kenwood speakers in the rear. The original three-spoke Momo steering wheel and gear knob are both still present and in fine condition.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The HF Turbo is powered by the 1585cc, DOHC turbocharged engine producing 140 bhp. This achieves a top speed of over 125 mph and an acceleration time from 0 to 62 mph in 8. 7 seconds. The car was most recently serviced by Day & Whites Automotive in July 2024, this included new tyres, engine oil and filter, fuel filter, coolant temperature sensor, Bosch wipers, a gearbox oil change, brake fluid, and a coolant top-up. The spark plugs and fuel pump were both replaced in 2023.
HISTORY FILE
First registered in August 1990, this Lancia Delta HF Turbo has covered just 36k miles in the hands of only 4 keepers. It was originally supplied to its first owner, Mr Cooper, by Stewart Piper Autos Ltd for £11, 995 (Mr Cooper part-exchanged his 1988 Ford Orion 1600). Amazingly, the original vehicle order form is still present with a list of dealer accessories that were fitted, including an alarm, mudflaps, 4-speakers, a roof aerial and a cassette radio, all totalling £175. The car is accompanied by its original Lancia maintenance book with 21 service stamps, various invoices for servicing and parts, an original Lancia sales brochure, MOT certificates, and the current V5C showing 3 former keepers.
