The 1977 Datsun 260Z forms part of the well regarded S30-series, produced between 1974 and 1978 for the UK market, and is appreciated today for its straight-six performance and balanced handling, with strong support from an active enthusiast base
First registered in Jersey in 1977, the vehicle has been owned for the past 15 years by our vendor, having been purchased from a family in London
Originally purchased as the base for a Ferrari 250 GTO-style recreation, however, the decision was taken to keep the car to its original specification due to its condition and it remains unmodified today
Finished in Ford Radiant Red after a full acid-dip restoration by a father and son team in the early 2000s complemented by chrome bumpers and door trims
The interior remains in original condition and is fitted with a Clifford alarm and CD radio with electric aerial
Powered by its original 2. 6-litre engine, now uprated with a mild camshaft, 2" SU carburettors, a performance manifold and exhaust system, the car also benefits from lowered suspension, front and rear strut braces, a four-*** caliper and vented disc brake conversion, and Xenon 5000K HID headlamps
A well maintained and sensibly enhanced example of the 260Z, well preserved and ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian
NB: The vehicle is coming on a Temporary Admission from Ireland, the buyer is responsible for any taxes or duties due if the car remains in the UK
