The BMW 3 Series (E36) represents the third generation of BMW’s hugely successful 3 Series range, a model line first introduced in 1975 and long regarded as the benchmark for compact executive sports saloons. Produced between 1990 and 2000, the E36 marked a significant step forward in terms of refinement, performance and technology, while retaining the balanced handling and driver-focused character for which BMW had become renowned. Introduced in 1995 as the successor to the 325i, the BMW 328i Convertible (E36) sat near the top of the range, pairing BMW’s smooth and responsive 2. 8-litre straight-six engine with elegant open-top motoring, making it one of the most desirable variants of the E36 generation.
Supplied by Chenhalls Ltd on 1 August 1997 and presented in Boston Green with contrasting Saffron Yellow leather interior, this particular BMW 328i was specified with an automatic gearbox and benefitted from a generous factory specification including BMW Sports seats, automatic speed hold, Lux Pack, front passenger airbag, remote control anti-theft system and graduated tinted screen.
