Description
This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, Online Auction - 30th April on Thursday the 30th of April. Background
The second-generation Toyota Century made its debut in 1997. The original model, which had debuted in 1967, received a complete redesign, although the new model was visually very similar to the previous generation. Unlike the V8-powered original, the Century is powered by not only Toyota’s, but Japan’s only V12 production engine – the legendary 5-litre 1GZ-FE. This naturally aspirated powerhouse produces 276bhp and 355lb/ ft of torque, providing effortless progress and refined cruising. Paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission, the Century can be aimed at the horizon with little effort.
The Car
This 2003 Toyota Century exemplifies the pinnacle of Japanese luxury and craftsmanship. With 99, 800 miles on the odometer, this flagship sedan remains a remarkable example of Toyota’s dedication to understated elegance and meticulous engineering.
Inside, this particular example is equipped with a grey leather interior and Dual EMV package, meaning display screens for both front and rear passengers. The rear seats offer full power adjustment, massaging functions and even a built-in footrest. A premium sound system, woodgrain trim and advanced climate-control ensure that every journey is a first-class experience.
Cars that have lived in Japan are generally meticulously maintained and our vendor notes that this Century presents in 'excellent condition'. This car is currently undergoing UK-registration, (all the correct duties and taxes have been paid), and is awaiting a V5C.
An iron fist in a silk glove, a Toyota Century in a lovely colour way and specification is a rare prospect for any collector and is sure to be enjoyed.
