Exterior / Body:
The car shown here is a MORGAN 4/ 4 from September 1972 in the two-tone "Black/ Grey" colour of the period. The bodywork was restored a few years ago and is presently in good display condition. We note a few minor paint defects given the age of the restoration: patina, marbling, and dust under the finish. The chrome is complete, straight and correctly positioned, with a very light surface oxidation. The bumpers and their spacers show no major deformation or marked rubbing traces. The black faux-leather soft top is in perfect condition and today remains free from snags. The mica glass is perfectly translucent. Fitting is straightforward and the seal remains as original. The 4 MORGAN 15’’ wire wheels are in excellent condition, with no impact marks or deformation. The 4 Hankook tyres wear at 15% both front and rear. This example retains its 15’’ black wire-spoke spare wheel, as well as its mallet and jack. Among the notable exterior features and options on this model are the badge holder, chrome fuel cap, and 5 MORGAN 15’’ black wire-spoke wheels.

Cockpit:
The interior was refurbished a few years ago. The black faux-leather upholstery is in very good display condition with no fading or major defects. A light patina and uniform wear is present, and there is a small snag on the passenger seat back. The wooden dashboard is not warped or cracked. The cover for the dash switches is absent. The black faux-leather cap is in good condition. All SMITHS instruments function perfectly. This car is fitted with a 3-spoke wood Morgan steering wheel, which shows wear patina. The Bakelite gear knob is in good condition. It is equipped with retractable seat belts. Among the interior options of interest is the wooden dashboard, the 3-spoke wood Morgan steering wheel and the retractable seat belts.

Chassis:
Static inspection confirms a sound body and chassis, with no visible accident damage or structural corrosion. The fundamentals—underbody, wheel arches, floor panels, ladder frame, and longitudinals—are in very good condition. The wooden floor panels are in excellent condition, with no cracks, delamination, or pest intrusion. As a rule, we cannot guarantee perfect alignment beyond what is visually and functionally sound during road testing and on the hoist. During the dynamic test, no abnormal rattles were detected in the body or suspension components (joints, bushings, etc.). Handling is improved by the rear KONI shocks. Braking is aligned, stable, and in keeping with period standards. Front discs show 20% wear and pads 25%. The rear drums show no signs of seepage. The technical inspection carried out by our workshop prior to delivery will confirm overall functionality.

Engine / Transmission:
The Ford mechanicals run perfectly. Compression tests and the road test performed by our workshop confirm a healthy 4-cylinder. The 4-cylinder starts immediately and idles stably, as confirmed by the 360° video with the engine running available at the start of the slideshow. At speed, the engine revs without hesitation or overheating. Hot oil pressure is 25 psi at 900 rpm. The sound of the 4-cylinder is enhanced by a sport air filter, an stainless steel inlet, and an inox exhaust system. This example is equipped with an additional electric cooling fan to counter the usual overheating issue on these roadsters (radiator and grille are undersized). The gearbox operates perfectly: all four gears engage and disengage smoothly. Clutch bite is good. This car is equipped with a battery cut-off switch. As is often the case with older mechanicals, engine-to-transmission sealing remains average.
