The original Edward Turner-designed four-cylinder 'superbike' launched in 1930 as a 500cc OHC fitted into a conventional Ariel 500cc frame
By 1935, its capacity was 1, 000cc with a totally revised engine layout including dry sump, one-piece crankshaft and a Solex carburettor
This mostly original, plunger-framed example is presented in good overall condition
Older restoration and complete with a large history file
Formally part of the late Stanley Roberts Collection
Frame and engine numbers match club records as both from 1954 but not original pairing
History contains numerous receipts, old photos, magazine articles, old manuals and copy workshop manuals
Running recently but may need a battery recharge and fresh fuel before road use
Great usable example of this Ariel classic
UK-registered on a current V5C
