Recently re-imported from Spain, but never taken off its UK plates, is this nice condition and now sought after early example of Yamahas popular XVS650A Dragstar Classic. Unfortunately its owner who had had it for years, recently passed away and amongst all his other bits, his son bought it back to the UK. With only a low 12k on the clock and with it being in a hot dry climate it has survived cosmetically better than these do in our UK climate, with very little corrosion. Ironically and as you can see in the pictures, he liked an extra or two, the chrome on some of these bits has not fared quite so well. There are also some scratches on the very top of the tank where he originally had an “Eagle” badge fitted. On arriving back here it had a service and carbs cleaned plus a new battery and an MOT, the plan being the son was going to keep it and ride it himself. Plans changed and its now up for sale on his behalf. He had to apply for the V5, as you do when the registered keeper is deceased, he now has that as well. As a bit of a sub note, the extra lights do not appear to work and as the son didnt worry about that, its not been looked into.
