Description
The Opel Kadett 200tS is a legendary, South Africa-exclusive hot hatch produced in the mid-1990s. Built as a homologation special, it featured a local 2. 0-liter turbocharged engine (C20LET), a Getrag 6-speed manual gearbox, and a limited-slip differential to put down its massive (for the era) 160kw and 280nm for the early models fitted with the Coscast heads and later models were 150kw/ 280nm with the GM heads and upgraded cooling system.
Opel developed the 200tS primarily to compete on local race tracks against vehicles like the BMW E36 M3. Only about 500 units were built (roughly 350 hatchbacks and 150 sedans), making them highly sought-after collector's items today.
