The Kawasaki ZRX1200 range was launched in 2001 with the 1200S and appealed to riders on account of its 1, 164cc inline-four engine, which was said to produce 123bhp and achieve a 155mph top speed. The enthusiasts’ favourite, however, was the 1200R, which arrived in 2002 and introduced fantastic 1980s-inspired styling, closely resembling Eddie Lawson’s racing Z1100R. Production of the ZRX1200s continued to 2007, and, thanks to their highly durable engines, quite a few are still going strong.
This delightful 2003 Kawasaki ZRX1200R has had nine registered keepers, including one from 2016 to 2025. Our vendor purchased it in late 2025 because he wanted a stylish and comfortable machine for some tours he had planned, and consequently it has taken him to Scotland and the Continent in his eight months of ownership, covering about 1, 500 miles. In spite of that, it has still covered under 14, 000 miles from new, as evidenced by the impressive MOT and service record (there are six entries in the original service book between 2011 and 2016). Our vendor describes it as “a pleasure to ride” and will be riding it to the sale. It is supplied with service history, two sets of keys and the current V5C.
