The Matchless G80 was a staple in the Matchless range from 1946 to 1966
This example is a G80CS the 'C' stood for competition and the 'S' for suspension i. e. not rigid frame
Powered by a 498cc single-cylinder pushrod, two-valve motor producing 28bhp
Aimed at the expanding US market, eager for off-road style bikes at the time
This correct numbers older restoration example is presented in good overall condition, engine turns with good compression
Still fitted with its Lucas competition magneto
