Specification Includes : Fresh 1860cc Stage 2 MGB 5 Bearing Crank Engine finished in period MG Maroon - Vitesse Mazda MX5 Gearbox ( New ) Conversion, Servo Assisted Front Disc Brakes, Adjustable Bia Rear Brakes, New Chrome Wire Wheels with Michelin XZX Period Tyres, Lucas PL Headlights, Retro-Sound Period Style Audio, Stainless Steel Boot Rack. Fitted Seat Belts.
Originally Constructed under License ( CKD ) in South Africa this rust free Original Right Hand Drive MGA was restored and imported into the UK in 2016 when it found a home with a UK collector. In 2018 the MGA was enhanced with a further £18, 000 spend to create a tasteful, modern driving classic MGA.
Ivor Searle provided a fresh MG B 1860 5 Bearing Crank Engine prepared to Stage 2 Specification and painted in period maroon at our request. Vitesse were selected to supply one of their Mazda MX5 5 Speed Gearbox Conversion Kits which simply transforms the driving experience. The Front Brakes were changed to Disc Brakes and a Servo was added along with a Bias System to balance the front and rear braking. Fresh Springs and Dampers were added along with a New Set of Chrome Wire Wheels shod with New Period Michelin XZX Tyres. The Interior Carpets were replaced with Wilton Wool items and a New Mohair Hood and Tonneau Cover were added along with a Period looking Modern Radio & a Genuine Motalita Steering Wheel - The end result was an MGA which simply outperformed our expectation and is a total joy to drive.
During the period since completion the car has been regularly serviced by ourselves and having now completed almost 2, 000 miles it can be considered "Snagged" - however it has lost none of its "sparkle" and presents totally "Showroom Fresh".
MOT & Tax Exempt – but a currently MOT’d to July 2027 without any advisories..
