Description
Ford Mustang 1967, hardtop coupé, powered by a 289 cubic inch V8 two-barrel engine coupled to an automatic gearbox. The vehicle was imported from the United States, from Minnesota, then completely restored in France in 2021 at a Ford garage in the region. It is now registered with French number plates. A detailed repair order is available, and substantial expenditure has been incurred on all safety and wear components.
The braking system has been completely overhauled with a conversion to front disc brakes, a new master cylinder, a servo unit, new pipes and hoses, with the rear brakes removed and cleaned. The cooling circuit has been rebuilt with a new radiator, water pump, thermostat, temperature sender and all radiator and heater hoses. On the engine side, the carburettor has been exchanged as standard, spark plugs and oil and air filters replaced, and the fuel tank drained and cleaned. The steering and suspension have benefited from new ball joints, track rod ends, anti-roll bar bushes and drag links, followed by a full wheel alignment and four new tyres.
The electrical system has been thoroughly overhauled, with engine and cabin harnesses, new front lights, aerial, cigarette lighter and a new battery. Anti-corrosion treatment has been applied to the chassis, floors and front wheel arches, with window seals and door mirrors replaced at the same time. The interior has received new carpeting, a period-style radio with USB and hands-free kit, two rear speakers and a reversing camera. The car also features a dual sport exhaust system and electronic ignition.
With priority given to the mechanics, safety and corrosion protection, the bodywork nonetheless requires overall attention to perfect its presentation. The vehicle is therefore offered at a price reflecting this point, and leaves its future owner the opportunity to complete the cosmetics according to their own requirements, on a sound and running base.
