** Vehicle Description**
This is not simply an ** SL R107**. It is a ** 560 SL**, the version that Mercedes-Benz destined primarily for the American market and which represents one of the finest expressions of the glorious 107 series.
Beneath the bonnet we find the mighty ** 5. 6-litre V8 M117 engine with 5, 547 cc**, paired with an automatic gearbox: a motor with abundant torque, silky delivery and perfectly in keeping with the character of a true ** Mercedes Grand Tourer of the 1980s**. The 560 SL was produced from 1986 to 1989 and, in the American configuration, developed approximately ** 227 bhp**.
But it is above all the specification of this particular example that makes it special.
The bodywork is finished in the captivating ** 877 Petrol Blue Green Metallic**, an incredibly distinctive Mercedes shade: depending on the light it shifts from petrol blue to green, perfectly emphasising the clean and timeless lines of the R107.
Being an ** American-market 560 SL**, it naturally came with its HARD TOP and the characteristic oversized USA bumpers. On this car, however, the more elegant ** European-specification bumpers** have been fitted, which completely lighten the line and restore to the R107 the proportions we are accustomed to admiring in Europe.
An aesthetic modification, therefore, but absolutely reversible: ** its original American bumpers are available with the car**, allowing it to be returned to its original configuration at any time.
And that is precisely the beauty of it: to have the appeal and engine of the ** American 560 SL**, but with the elegance of the European specification, without having sacrificed anything of its history.
