This is a highly usable, mechanically excellent example of the ever popular quintessential British sports car, the MGB Roadster. Finished in a deep Midnight Blue with a newly refreshed Black trim, our MGB was dispatched from the factory on the 14th October 1970 and still proudly sports its original Canterbury-issued registration mark. Having been treated to a comprehensive restoration in its past, the MG has proven an incredibly honest, highly usable classic that is absolutely ready to be driven and thoroughly enjoyed.
On the button, mechanically strong and structurally excellent, this MGB is a pure delight on the road. The engine is in fine health, revving freely and producing a wonderfully crisp, evocative exhaust note through its stainless-steel exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels via its very fit 4-speed manual gearbox, complete with a perfectly smooth overdrive unit perfect for longer-distance touring. The car handles exactly as an 'B should, riding on a timeless set of period-correct Minilite-style alloy wheels that afford the car a slightly sharper, more athletic stance than standard steel equivalents.
The Midnight Blue paintwork has nicely aged and although no longer of a top class standard, it is well presented and perfectly acceptable as a good usable example. The upholstery is of a lovely standard with recently replaced seats and carpets, the MG has also had a newly fitted black vinyl hood. Representing the ideal balance of mechanical dependability and honest cosmetic charm, this lovely Canterbury-registered Roadster is the perfect entry point or addition for any enthusiast looking for a dependable, fair-weather 'driver's car' to use without hesitation
