The 1963 Chevrolet Corvette is a two-top convertible equipped with fuel injection and a 4-speed manual gearbox. The vehicle was discovered in the earthen basement of a farm for decades. The bodywork shows some surface rust on the chassis that doesn't compromise the structure. The short block engine has never been dismantled and retains its original condition apart from new gaskets. The original rear seal weeps slightly when stationary. New components include an alternator, harmonic balancer and starter motor. The cylinder heads were removed and the cylinders oiled before first start-up. The sump was cleaned and the oil changed several times. The engine runs on Schaeffer racing oil. The fuel injection unit and distributor were rebuilt by Futo and Son in Phoenix, with documentation including before-and-after photos and test video. The car runs exclusively on 100-octane ethanol-free petrol. The fuel pump is new. The tank has been cleaned and a new sender unit installed. An AN6 line replaces the leak between the tank and pump. The lines before the pump are reproductions with filter. A custom-order reusable K&N air filter equips the intake. The transmission was rebuilt by Baca Transmission. A reproduction gear lever sits on the gearbox. The clutch is a McLeod Street Pro kit. The 2. 5-inch exhaust system is from Ecklers starting from the manifolds. The cooling circuit comprises a water pump, fan clutch, Cold Case radiator, reproduction hoses, thermostat and heater core. The heater cables are original.
