Description
1996 BMW 735i E38 – 3. 5 V8
A remarkably well-preserved example of BMW's legendary E38 7 Series, powered by the smooth 3. 5-litre M62 V8 producing around 235 bhp.
The E38 is now considered by many to be one of the finest-looking 7 Series BMW ever produced – understated, beautifully engineered and increasingly desirable as a modern classic.
This example is in exceptional condition for her age and has a particularly nice ownership story. The previous elderly owner kept her for an incredible 19 years, only selling after giving up driving.
Most of the mileage was covered during the first 12 years of her life, with only around 31, 000 miles covered in the past 18 years. The odometer currently shows 131, 202 miles.

CAT N HISTORY
The BMW was recorded as Category N in 2020. According to the previous owner, this followed a very light bump which caused a small dent to the wing.
Due to the car's age and the difficulty of sourcing new replacement parts, the insurance company decided to write the vehicle off rather than repair it. Category N relates to non-structural damage, and the car was subsequently repaired and returned to the road.
The M62 V8 is smooth, refined and perfectly suited to the E38, making it a superb long-distance cruiser with proper old-school BMW character.
The 735i is now an incredibly rare sight in the UK, with current figures suggesting only around 15 examples are licensed for road use.
With its 19-year ownership, extensive history, excellent condition and increasingly rare V8 specification, this is a lovely surviving example of one of BMW's greatest luxury saloons.
Part exchange welcome.
