** GP MOTORS | CARS CHOSEN FIRST AND FOREMOST OUT OF PASSION**
There are cars that, even after twenty years, still manage to have an incredibly contemporary presence.
This ** 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLK 350 V6** is one of them.
The second generation of Mercedes' compact roadster, the R171, abandons the soft lines of its predecessor and becomes far more sporting, with that sharp front end inspired by Formula 1 single-seaters of the era and proportions that still work brilliantly today.
And this is probably in the most Mercedes configuration you could wish for: ** Silver Arrow with a completely black interior**.
But the real reason to seek out a 350 specifically is what lies under the bonnet.
A ** naturally aspirated 3. 5 V6 producing 272 bhp**, back when you didn't need small turbocharged engines and clever tricks to make power. A full, progressive six-cylinder capable of transforming an elegant compact roadster into a genuinely quick and entertaining machine.
All of this combined with a feature that made the SLK unique: the retractable rigid roof. Closed, it's a proper coupé, quiet and usable year-round; seconds later it becomes a two-seater roadster to be enjoyed completely open.
This one has something that matters to us even more than mileage.
It's covered just ** 117, 000 km**, but more importantly, it boasts a ** FULL SERVICE HISTORY with the official Mercedes-Benz network**, testament to a life properly looked after and maintained as it should be.
And naturally, being from ** 2005, it's already ASI-eligible**.
It's exactly the sort of car we like to seek out: modern enough to use without worry, powerful enough to still be tremendously entertaining, and now rare enough, especially in this condition and with this history, to deserve preservation.
A ** naturally aspirated SLK 350 V6**, Silver Arrow, black interior, 117, 000 km and a documented Mercedes service history.
Twenty years ago it was a beautiful roadster.
** Today it's a youngtimer. And the right ones are becoming increasingly hard to find.**
