- One of 1, 000 limited editions

Introduced as one of the more distinctive special editions in the Mini's long production history, the British Open Classic combined the much-loved character and compact proportions of Alec Issigonis's iconic design with a more luxurious specification and an added sense of occasion. Produced in limited numbers, the edition is particularly recognisable for its full-length electrically operated fabric sunroof, bringing an open-air motoring experience to the classic Mini.
This December 1993 Rover Mini is one of just 1, 000 British Open Classic examples produced, finished in the attractive shade of British Racing Green with pleated Stone Beige leather trim and contrasting green piping. Further details include a sporty wooden steering wheel, matching door cards and a wooden instrument panel. Power comes from the familiar 1, 275cc A-Series engine, giving the lively performance that has always made the Mini such an entertaining car to drive. Its compact dimensions, responsive handling and willing powerplant make it well suited to modern roads, whilst retaining all the charm and character of the original model. A nice feature of the British Open Classic is its full-length sunroof, which opens up the cabin and makes the most of fine-weather motoring.
A desirable variation of the marque's later production years, the Mini shows c. 72, 500 miles indicated, and is offered with a new MOT certificate with no advisories.
