Description

All our vehicles are rigorously inspected before being offered for sale: over 70 inspection points are checked (mechanical, chassis, bodywork, interior and accessories) plus a complete road test carried out by our workshop manager. Each vehicle also benefits from a cylinder compression test and/ or a cold oil pressure check (depending on technical feasibility). Our vehicles are prepared in our workshop, which specialises in classic, sports and prestige automobiles. The bodywork was restored in 2016 and the body shell then received a complete new paint job. Following a professional polish carried out with a dual-action polisher by our workshop, we noted slight marbling on the bonnet and dust trapped under the paint. The chrome bumpers and their overriders are in good condition, with no signs of impact, distortion or corrosion. The chrome radiator grille is also in excellent condition. The beige cloth hood is in good condition despite a small tear on the driver's side. The beige cloth tonneau cover shows signs of age-appropriate patina. This example is fitted with the 'Wind shots' option. The 4 chrome wire wheels, 15 inch, and the chrome knock-off hubs are in excellent condition. The 4 VREDESTEIN tyres are new. This example is fitted with its original spare wheel (chrome wire wheel), together with its jack, mallet and interior storage bag. Notable bodywork and exterior equipment and options fitted to this example include: the interior storage bag, the 4 chrome wire wheels and the Wind shots. Interior: The interior is in good presentable condition. The beige leather upholstery shows an even patina. The wood-veneer dashboard is in perfect condition. The complete JAEGER instrument cluster and the LUCAS ammeter are fully functional. The heater is not working. This example is fitted with its 3-spoke LECARRA wooden steering wheel and an original Bakelite gear knob, both free of major defects. The beige imitation leather door cards with pockets are in very good condition. The same applies to the 'Brown' carpets. This example is fitted with an MG passenger grab handle. Notable interior equipment and options fitted to this example include: the LECARRA 3-spoke wooden steering wheel and the MG passenger grab handle. Chassis: Raising the car on the ramp confirms a sound chassis and body shell, with no sign of accident damage or apparent structural corrosion. The fundamentals: ladder chassis, sills, lower wings, wheel arches and chassis rails are in very good condition. Limitation: as a matter of principle we cannot guarantee perfect alignment beyond their visually and functionally good condition, as confirmed during the road test and ramp inspection. The wooden floors are also in very good condition, with no signs of cracks, breaks, fungus or woodworm. During the dynamic test we noted no abnormal noises from the body or running gear (ball joints, bushes, etc.). Braking is balanced and in line with period standards, with no vibration or abnormal noise. The front and rear drums are fully functional and free of any signs of seepage. The MOT carried out by our workshop prior to delivery will confirm the correct operation of the whole vehicle. Engine / Transmission: The mechanics run perfectly. The 4-cylinder engine starts easily, with no suspicious noises, and idles steadily, as confirmed by the 360-degree video filmed with the engine running, available at the start of the slideshow. The compression test and road test carried out by our workshop confirm a 4-cylinder engine in excellent health. The cold oil pressure recorded is 40 psi at 900 rpm. On the road, the engine picks up revs smoothly, without stumbling or overheating. This example is fitted with a Magna Charger supercharger, a rare period option that delivers more flexibility and torque on the road. We noted the presence of an Econogreen system, which allows this engine, originally designed to run on leaded premium fuel, to use unleaded fuel directly (SP95 or SP98) without needing to add a lead substitute at each fill-up. The gearbox engages all 4 gears easily through the range and was rebuilt in 2016. The clutch grip is good. This example is fitted with a battery isolator. As is often the case with these models, the engine / gearbox / axle sealing is average. Our advert details the condition of the vehicle precisely through the Bodywork / Exterior, Interior, Chassis and Engine / Transmission sections. You will also find over 50 photographs, a video of the engine running, and all the information and specifications for the vehicle. If you would like further details, we remain at your disposal to provide them on request.
