The Volkswagen Beetle is one of the most distinctive and longest-produced cars of the 20th century. Its simple design, rear-mounted air-cooled flat engine and distinctive rounded bodywork have, over time, made it one of the most recognisable automotive icons. The 1200 model represents the classic Beetle design, emphasising the original technical specifications and its characteristic driving dynamics. This particular car was manufactured in 1972 and is fitted with the original four-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a displacement of 1, 192 cm³ and an output of 25 kW. The car is fitted with a four-speed manual gearbox and retains its original design, including the engine, chassis and bodywork. The bodywork was completely stripped of rust, treated and repainted. The original paintwork has been preserved only on the roof, which gives the car an interesting contrast whilst also evoking its original appearance. The work also included underbody protection and a major engine overhaul. The restoration was carried out with an emphasis on the overall condition and preservation of the character of this historic car. According to the documentation provided, the engine is original, as are the chassis and the vehicle identification on the central tunnel. The interior corresponds to the original documentation. The car is registered as a historic vehicle in the Czech Republic and holds a valid historic vehicle certificate valid until 7 April 2029. In the certificate, it is classified as FIVA/ FIA A/ 3 and is recognised as historically authentic.
