AC Cars produced only 81 428 Frua's of which only 29 were convertibles . Built on a similar chassis as the 427 cobra . In fact the rolling chassis was sent to Turin Italy for the bodies to be fabricated in steel and returned to AC Cars for painting , trimming etc . This particular car in its stunning original colour of metallic Live Oak , shows a total mileage of only 30000 miles . A previous owner only completing under 14000 miles in 35 years . Having just undergone a bare metal respray on what was a sound body . The hood , carpets and the major chrome items have been replaced/ restored , but otherwise the condition is original .
