Description

This beautiful electric start 150cc scooter was supplied new on 7th August 1957 by A. R. Taylor Garages of Shipston-on-Stour to Miss D. Gable of that town at a cost of £199. 19. 0. It later passed to a lady 10 miles away and then returned to Shipston in the 1980's where it stayed until purchased by me in 2012, moving 60 miles over to Hereford!

Mileage today is 16, 450. It was refurbished around 2002 by a Mr Bob Mallett who was mechanic to Cecil Sandford, a World Champion motorcyclist and then stored for 10 years, being periodically started to maintain in good condition.
These very high quality scooters were made in NSU's Neckarsulm factory (later purchased by Porsche for 924 / 944 production - this scooter was on display at the Porsche Club GB HQ for some time after the refurbishment).

It is tax and MOT exempt. In superb condition, it starts and runs beautifully and is a pleasure to behold. It comes with Handbook, Spare Parts List, Maintenance Manual and a hardback copy of "Two-up" by scooter to Australia by Michael Marriott - the story of his and his wife's journey to Oz on a Prima D circa 1960. A wonderful read! There is also a copy of the entry in the Sales Ledger of the supplying dealer, Taylor Garages when sold new.

A great addition to any collection and a joy to behold.
