A beautiful restored Citroen 2cv6 dolly special in the popular plum and custard livery
This car was given to me 3 years ago as a restoration project when I was made redundant. She belonged to my daughter’s boyfriend’s grandfather and was garaged for 10 years after he died. Sadly as I have been unable to find sufficient employment the car must now be sold to recoup the money I have spent on her.
On a thorough examination and assessment took place both mechanically and structurally and a scheme of work drawn up. Advice was sought from Graham Wilson at the 2CV Workshop and he has supplied body panels and carried out some of the work, particularly the respray, MOT preparation and tuning. The car passed the MOT in August 2014 with no advisories. It has covered just over 92, 500 miles from new and is for 12 months from August 2014.
2CV Workshop refurbished the bodyshell after the new panels and repairs were carried out on the bodyshell. The bodyshell, vent flap, bonnet, boot lid, wings and headlamps were sprayed in 2 Pack. The colours are the original plum and custard and the finish is excellent. The headlight bar and bumpers are finished in satin black. She has a galvanised chassis and is fitted with a Dyane engine, the high compression version of the 2cv engine, meaning it pushes out an awesome 33 BHP rather than 29 as standard. The performance is lively and it is very enjoyable to drive.
The car can be wax injected and under body protected if desired before sale – it has not yet been carried out so that the true condition can be seen. This 2CV is well worth a look for any enthusiast. I live in North Cornwall near Launceston just off the A30 and would welcome you to view in person
