This has to be the best TDM 850 3VD for sale in the UK. This bike is in fantastic condition and is everyday useable. I have owned the bike for 3 years and taken a huge amount of time and effort to achieve this standard. There are no after market modifications, all components are Yamaha and the bike rides as it did 21 years ago! I have a brand new Honda parked next to it and it is a tough choice to pick up the keys to the Honda; this Yamaha is the most user friendly, quick and comfortable bike I have ever owned. There is a massive community of TDM owners and they all love their bikes!
Tech: tyres are brand new continental attack 2's, front calipers rebuilt 200 miles ago, front fork oil replaced 200 miles ago, new X-ring chain and sprockets, rear caliper rebuilt last year, K&N air filter, new iridium plugs, carbs balanced at last service, valves checked, brand new fuel pump (as a precaution, old one fine and comes with bike), waterproofed for all weather riding, ACF 50 applied many times a year, new battery - mechanically this Yamaha is in excellent order. Serviced 5 times in 3 years (4, 000 miles covered in that time.)
Cosmetics: all original panels in fantastic condition, no scrapes or damage anywhere, fender extender, mint rear hugger, hand guards, data tagged, metal work is superb, has original exhausts which look brand new, no excessive wear to peg rubbers or hand grips. Looks like a 12 month old bike.
On a trip to Oban, in a car park full of new bikes, my TDM was surrounded by people asking what it was and taking photos of it. It really is that good! The bike has never failed me and starts on the button first time, every time. I would have no reservation in jumping on it and heading round Europe.
