Regrettably for sale is my 1987 Scirocco Scala Automatic, one of the best in the UK.
The car has done 77723 miles (subject to slight change), and is in outstanding condition for an almost 29 year old car. Delivered in June 1987 to Mrs M Davies by Colindale Volkswagen - it still has the dealer number plates - North London, this car was cherished by her until 2007 when it was inherited by her son. He continued to garage the car, and no cost was spared in maintaining the vehicle. Most of the cars services have been undertaken by the supplying dealer and then latterly by Russell Automotive VAG specialists in London.
I acquired the car last year, following a period of little use and have recommissioned the car to its current standard. during my ownership, the notorious Pierburg carburettor has been comprehensively rebuilt, along with new front suspension springs, the centre exhaust section, new Herschmann electric aerial and some cosmetic work to the underside of the bonnet and behind the front section of the bodykit. The car is in unbelievably unmarked condition, even the trademark white Scala interior is immaculate. Not shown in the photos, but I have a set of top quality seat covers which are invaluable with this interior.
This car has every bill and MOT from new, and has the most comprehensive; almost laughable, service history you have ever seen. I have the original bill of sale, instruction manuals, operating guide for the optional Blaupunkt Toronto stereo and even newspaper adverts for 'The New Scirocco Scala.'
These cars are now very rare, this is one of two Carbed Scala Automatics currently on the road according to How Many Left.
