1992 K-Reg Peugeot 205 Gti 1. 9 Automatic with a genuine 81, 000 miles from new – backed up by Full Service History and all old MOT Certificates.
This is an extremely rare 205 Gti 1. 9 Automatic featuring Air Conditioning. It is not a conversion, but a genuine and totally original Peugoet Factory Special Order vehicle.
At first glance you may think you are looking at pictures of a 205 Gti 1. 6, but this is the real deal, and totally unmodified from new – it is one of four surviving examples from the 23 which went into the Peugeot Main Dealer network in 1992/ 93. All cars were supplied with the following specification, and didn’t have the carb engine bulge bonnet as some have speculated.
• Four Speed Automatic gearbox
• 1900 cc Gti Engine
• Air Conditioning with A/ C button in centre of dash under the 3 heater controls.
• 15” Pepperpot Alloys
• Drum Rear Brakes
• Cloth Interior trim
• Electric Windows
• Factory Sunroof
• Jack and Brace mounted under passenger seat – the normal place under the bonnet taken up by the Air Con Pump.
The car has been dry stored in a Barn since 2005!
We have deliberately not even washed the car, and present it in it’s original ‘Barn Find’ condition for the new owner to make the decision whether to give it a light refurb, restore to new condition or just enjoy it as it is – knowing you have probably the rarest 205 Gti 1900 in the Land!
We have the full Book Pack with fully documented Service History, all MOT certificates since 1995 and lots of receipts over the years.
The car has just had a full service (oil, air & oil Filters, plugs, new coolant, Battery etc) plus a full Cambelt Kit & Waterpump for peace of mind. It is in great condition outside and sports dust, cobwebs and some mud too!!
Inside it is in excellent original condition – and still has the original cassette/ radio!
Everything seems to work, and it drives really well – changing gear effortlessly. It is mechanically really sweet and fired straight back into life after 11 years of sleeping!
