This mercedes 350sl was bought by the great british film star trevor howard in 1977(brief encounters, mutiny on the bounty, von ryans express etc etc). when he died in 1988 the car passed to his wife helen (nee cherry, another famous actor)after her death, it passed to her housekeeper who has maintained it ever since but it must now be sold due to his failing sight. The car has been garaged all its life at the howards residence. The mileage of 87, 000 is genuine, it has a mercedes service book, bills, past mots, and a current mot. it is very solid and has a superb engine and gearbox as you would expect with this low mileage, there are no known mechanical issues and it has been utterly reliable it has a new exhaust and tyres.
