Here for sale is my Classic Replicas V12 Cobra. This car is a Classic Replicas factory made vehicle finished as the last company demonstrator in late 1999. It was the first UK Cobra Replica to undergo the then new Single Vehicle Approval Test and passed easily. It incorporated many safety aspects to its build that would not normally be seen on other Cobras and the chassis was always, even to this day, seen as the strongest and safest Cobra Replica on the market.
Named the 'Viper', this model of replica was designed in 1985 by ken Cook, the owner of Brightwheel Replicas Ltd (then Classic Replicas) and sold in kit form but from 1985 to 2001 some 400 cars were built and exported to Europe and Japan, such was the quality of the cars. Many hundreds of kits were also sold. They came in Jaguar, Granada, Cortina and Sierra based form. This car is a wholly based Jaguar V12 version and the parts used in its build were all new except the engine which came from a low mileage crashed Ser. 2 saloon that had only done 54K miles, so just run in. Being a fuel injected engine it affords better petrol consumption than V12's with carbs. A full documented history of its build, comes with the car
Remaining in Kens ownership even after he retired in 2002, it did not get used enough so was then passed to Ben his grandson, who now offers it for sale as he too does not use it enough and a car like this needs to be used. So it still has only done a relatively low mileage and is still immaculate and almost in new condition. It drives like the true thoroughbred car that it is. Connelly Leather seats and high quality carpets with all the original Jaguar Smiths instruments and switches. All the brightware is in stainless steel. A double-Duck soft-top and Tonneau come with it.
