1979 escort mk2 van project, just out of mot last month.
has not been for an mot but would need o/ s/ r lower corner panel patched at bottom due to a hole or replaced, as far as i'm aware other than that a very good solid in the right places, original uk van. Fitted with a 205 block pinto, alloy sump & engine mounts, twin 40's, 4 branch, cam etc.& has big tunnel with a type 9 5 speed box.(v5 needs updating).
Also has RS2000 back axle with anti-tramp bars, RS Steering rack. New Bilstein rear shockers fitted last year.
the front wings are bubbling around edges & would benefit from a new pair, good gutters but some bubbling mainly on left one on side of roof (been like that for 4 years, hasn't got any worse).
hole in left back door below window, so would need repaired.
interior has rover recaro seats, no carpets, rs clocks.
7x13 revolite wheels, 185/ 60/ 13 tyres.
reluctant sale but it really needs to go to someone with time & space/ facilities to work on the van. It really wants pulling to bits & rebuilt again.
van will need trailered as no mot.
alternator is knackered & wouldn't work.
it will have no battery, as this will be used on my transit van.
Just fitted some brand new parts this week, water pump, steering rack gaiters & high power uprated starter motor.
i have the current v5 in my name.
