Beschreibung
A superb example of the now rare Morris Commercial PV which was expertly restored in the early 1990's and bought by me in 2006 to represent the Bexhill based ELVA Engineering race support van. Restored by Bill Mattravers who is very experienced in commercial vehicle rebuilds, using all period correct parts. When it moved to Sussex another team of commercial experts checked over the van and it was painted and sign written by an artist regularly employed to decorate many wonderful and colourful showman's traction engines etc. The van attracts attention wherever 'she goes', including invitations to the Goodwood Revival and has featured in many magazines such as 'Best of British' etc. Has been seen on the London-Brighton commercial vehicle run.
Reg number KHY 38; built 29/ 09/ 1947; chassis number PV2704; old 'continuation' logbook; current V5C in my name; very little use as I now live some distance from where the van is kept in a dry modern storage unit.
Previous MOT's show that the van sees very limited use. Have just renewed the road tax, however no longer transferable but as a Historic Vehicle is free.
Very sorry to see it go but my time limited and the vehicle needs to be seen and enjoyed.
